Welcome to FLATPACK MUSIC, a small booking agency with bases in the UK and Canada, representing a select roster of quality musicians from around the world.

Our approach is holistic. We start with music we really love, by artists we really love and we build everything from there. Our roster is a commuity of artists who support one another and share ideas and resources through the connection of the agency. We are an extension of the enabled DIY ethic that the independent music scene is so predisposed to at the moment, and we are all very interested in connecting with people around the world who think like we do.

Our accompanists work with our artists and independently, they are also the two principal booking contacts for Flatpack Music.

OUR ACCOMPANISTS:

MAT MARTIN (UK, booking for UK & North America) – Freelance accompanist MAT MARTIN has worked on the roots / folk circuit across Europe for almost a decade, and his credits include Kirsty McGee & the Hobopop Collective, Karine Polwart, Quiet Loner and The Brute Chorus. He is currently performing full time with Joanna Chapman-Smith and freelancing as a guest with others. He also works as a producer and composer, and is the main contact for FLATPACK MUSIC.

SALMON AVALANCHE (CAN, booking for North America) – Accordeon specialist Katheryn Petersen has studied her instrument in considerable depth and has an astonishing CV of accompaniment credits, including Joanna Chapman-Smith, Los Portenos Del Norte, Melissa Bandura and Something About Reptiles. Previously she recorded and toured extensively with Blackberry Wood for five years. She has worked as a session player for Babe Gurr, Morgan Finlay, Kris Mitchell,Joe Burke, Meshe, Marty Ferguson, Blake McAndless & Burcu Ozdemir.
