Welcome to FLATPACK MUSIC, a small booking agency with bases in the UK and Canada, representing a select roster of quality musicians from around the world.
Our approach is holistic. We start with music we really love, by artists we really love and we build everything from there. Our roster is a commuity of artists who support one another and share ideas and resources through the connection of the agency. We are an extension of the enabled DIY ethic that the independent music scene is so predisposed to at the moment, and we are all very interested in connecting with people around the world who think like we do.
OUR ARTISTS:
KREG VIESSELMAN (USA/NO, booking for UK) – Based in Oslo, Kreg is a singer-songwriter from Minnesota who’s voice and lyrical incisiveness have impressed the critics and music lovers of Europe with some superb recordings. His new album If You Lose Your Light will be released in 2012 By Sony Music Norway. Solo and Trio shows.
JOANNA CHAPMAN-SMITH (CAN, booking for UK & North America) – The ‘Slinky-Voiced’ (Q) singer-songwriter from Canada who won the award for ‘Best Acoustic Song’ in the 10th Independent Music Awards with Melodies in 2010. JOANNA CHAPMAN-SMITH’s debut tour of the UK in 2011 saw her making a significant impression on the scene. Duo and Trio shows.
MYSHKIN’S RUBY WARBLERS (USA, booking for UK) – Portland, OR based MYSHKIN is a chameleonic wanderer who writes songs with a wealth of experience, an arresting helping of raw honesty, and a painter’s eye. Currently recording her long awaited fifth solo release, Myshkin will be returning to the UK in the very near future. Show format to be announced.
TRUCKSTOP HONEYMOON (USA, booking for UK) – There ainʼt nothing nice about TRUCKSTOP HONEYMOON. They play banjos and wash tubs. They sing about adultery and oil refineries. Itʼs break-neck breakdowns or heart-break waltzes. Like a dodge with a burnt out clutch, their music has two speeds and no reverse. Duo shows.
